Orthopedic physical therapy involves injury of the musculoskeletal system, including injury to bones, joints, nerves, and muscles. Research has found that a combination of manual therapy (hands on techniques), exercise, and education is most effective in treating these conditions. Sadly, many physical therapist’s aren’t able to spend enough time in all of these areas to effectively treat their patients. Here at Altitude Physical Therapy we treat all our patients with a one on one approach, that means you spend the entire time with a musculoskeletal specialist- not just some tech or aid. That means a more efficient and effective treatment plan that allows you to recover faster and get back to the things you love.
An orthopedic clinical specialist or OCS is a formal recognition given to physical therapists who are board certified by the American Physical Therapy Association. These therapists have demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in orthopedics physical therapy through direct patient experience and completion of a rigorous certification exam.
